Public Benefits Overview is designed to provide basic literacy in
public benefits law for:
• advocates making it a practice area;

specialists
in other areas,
• intake workers, and others who must be able to spot
issues and connect clients to appropriate resources;
• AIDS, domestic
violence, and people with disabilities counselors;
• social workers,
• food
bank workers, and
• all others whose work requires knowledge of public
benefits law as it impacts on low income people.
